QC 1000 Is Coming: Is Your Firm Ready?

What PCAOB-registered firms need to have in place before December 15, 2026.

QC 1000 represents a significant change in how PCAOB-registered accounting firms manage audit quality. Effective December 15, 2026, the standard introduces a proactive, risk-based approach that requires affected firms to identify potential quality risks, establish appropriate safeguards, assign clear accountability and continually monitor whether their quality-control system is working. This webinar translates QC 1000 into practical terms so your firm can evaluate its readiness before the effective date.

About this session

A proactive, risk-based approach to audit quality.

QC 1000 introduces a proactive, risk-based approach that requires PCAOB-registered firms to identify potential quality risks, establish appropriate safeguards, assign clear accountability and continually monitor whether their quality-control system is working. Recent PCAOB amendments would allow affected firms to select their annual evaluation date and file Form QC within 60 days afterward, subject to SEC approval, so this session focuses on what firms should be doing now to prepare, rather than advertising a fixed deadline that may change.

This session is built for the practitioners who must translate the standard into firm policy, working papers and partner behavior before the December 15, 2026 effective date. Nothing that could have been a whitepaper. Only what changes your next client engagement.
